NHRA legend John Force suffered a brutal crash in the elimination round while competing against Jonnie Lindberg at the NHRA Arizona Nationals.
Force, a 16-time NHRA champion, saw his car blow up as he finished the race and crossed the center line. The parachutes on his car were tangled with the parachutes on Lindberg's car.

According to AutoWeek, Force was transported to a local hospital for evaluation after the accident. Lindberg left his car under his own power.
Force's daughter, Brittany, suffered a bad crash a week ago.
