Late in the Denver Broncos' tilt with Pittsburgh, Markus Wheaton and the Steelers got lucky with a little help from the rulebook.

Despite the ball being on the one-yard line or close to the goal line, referees called the fumble recovery in the end zone, which you'd think would be ruled as a safety. Instead, the refs called it a touchback and NFL rules officially don't make any sense.

That's a muff and really well handled by this crew...the kick remains a kick until someone possess the ball and that did not happen..

Denver would get the ball back on a Fitzgerald Toussaint fumble because ball don't lie.
