Three-star quarterback Zadock Dinkelmann (6-foot-5, 202 pounds, Somerset, TX) was previously committed to LSU since he was in eighth grade, but he backed off that commitment earlier this year, and now it looks like he has a new school. On Monday, Dinkelmann announced that he had changed his commitment to BYU.

Dinkelmann is the nephew of 1990 Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer, who had one of the best quarterback seasons of all time that year with 5,188 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. Detmer currently serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for BYU.
With Dinkelmann on board, BYU's class for 2018 now has 11 commitments, per 247Sports.
