James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions are cooking with gas after a big-time season in 2016. While the Nittany Lions came up short against the USC Trojans in the Rose Bowl, an 11-win campaign cannot be overlooked as a stepping stone to the future, and Franklin's team is absolutely loaded as the 2017 season approaches.
With that in mind, Franklin and his staff are already making big moves for 2018 and beyond, and the program added another high-profile commitment to the mix on Saturday when the nation's No. 7 offensive tackle Nana Asiedu pledged to spend his college career at Penn State.

Asiedu reportedly chose Penn State over a lengthy list of impressive programs, highlighted by Michigan, LSU, Auburn, Georgia and defending national champion Clemson. The 6'6", 265-pound tackle from North Stafford High School (Va.) ranks as a consensus top 100 recruit nationally according to 247Sports and he is currently the No. 3 overall player from the state.
With Asiedu in the fold, Penn State now boasts the No. 2 class in the country according to 247Sports and that comes with the territory when sporting a massive 13 commitments at this early stage. A lot can change between now and February but Franklin and his staff have the Nittany Lions in a fantastic position moving forward.
