Four-star wide receiver Jeff Thomas (5-foot-10, 175 pounds, East St. Louis, Ill.) is the No. 6 wideout in the nation according to 247Sports, and on National Signing, Thomas gave a big boost to Mark Richt by announcing his commitment to Miami.

Thomas also had offers from Michigan, Alabama, and Illinois, among others.

Miami is on the verge of a Top 10 class for 2017, and Thomas puts them one-step closer. At the time of his commitment, Miami ranks No. 11 in the nation at 247Sports with 24 total pledges. That's a great showing for Mark Richt in his first full season as Hurricanes head coach.
