The SEC has gotten some pretty good coaches in the offseason and it looks like they are stealing away some talent in the recruiting game as well. Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead has hired former Penn State director of recruiting Michael Villagrana to the same position for him.
According to his own Twitter account, Villagrana has made it official and that gives Moorhead a familiar face on his staff as the two overlapped in Penn State for two years. After Villagrana joined the staff in 2015 and helped land Penn State the nation's No. 15 recruiting class in 2015, the No. 20 recruiting class in 2016 and again the No. 15 class in 2016.
To compare, Mississippi State landed the No. 18 class in 2015, No. 28 in 2016 and No. 24 in 2017. The Bulldogs currently have the No. 24 class right now.
