Michigan pays tribute to Michael Jordan in the Big House

The Michigan Wolverines had no trouble in blowing through the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday afternoon, and that shouldn't surprise anyone considering Jim Harbaugh's team entered the day as more than a 40-point favorite. However, there was a productive takeaway for Michigan Men everywhere, and that came with a full-on tribute to Michael Jordan.

The Michigan Wolverines had no trouble in blowing through the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday afternoon, and that shouldn't surprise anyone considering Jim Harbaugh's team entered the day as more than a 40-point favorite. However, there was a productive takeaway for "Michigan Men" everywhere, and that came with a full-on tribute to Michael Jordan.

Michigan and Jordan Brand have famously partnered on the first football-inclusive apparel deal in collegiate history, and the greatest basketball player ever was in Ann Arbor for the proceedings. Before the game, Jordan was seen on the field alongside Derek Jeter (!), 1997 Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson and former Michigan All-American lineback LaMarr Woodley.

Then, the big guns came out, as the Michigan marching band placed the spotlight on Jordan with this highly creative and awe-inspiring formation during the halftime show.

Seeing the Wolverines pull out all the stops to honor Jordan isn't really a shock considering the highly lucrative partnership between the two sides, but it is always fun to see the "GOAT" in this sort of public position. Michigan dominated on the field to further the hype train that surrounds the 2016 edition of the football team, and with Jordan on board, the Wolverines could be on the fast track back to the top of the college football world.
