The holidays are approaching and it's time to find out who has been naughty or nice. Well, it might too soon for all of that, but the Memphis Tigers have their own special gift incentive for local elementary school students this season.
Although the Tigers have the week off from American Athletic Conference action, the program is working to fill Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium for its next home game against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes on November 10 with some of the community's brightest young fans.
If you are an elementary school student in Shelby County, Tennessee and want to watch Memphis football play, you are in luck. Free tickets are available for the AAC showdown, but there is a catch: You have to have good grades.

Every elementary student who has earned a "B" average or higher will receive three complimentary tickets to the Tigers' game against the Golden Hurricanes, according to head coach Mike Norvell.
All the parents need to do is have each student's school teacher or administrator email [email protected] with the eligible students' first and last name. "Reading Challenge" should be in the subject line.
Sitting at 4-4 overall after a crushing 65-33 loss to the Missouri Tigers, and 1-3 in the AAC, Memphis is looking to use its bye week to correct some mistakes before trying to pick up the team's first road win of the season at East Carolina on November 3.
There have been some interesting free ticket promotions and giveaways in college football this season. Minnesota was giving away tickets if students bought a certain frozen pizza and an Iowa bar offered free beer to Nebraska fans when they finally won a game this season.
However, nothing has been about the young kids quite like this. It's cool to see and let's hope that entire section is packed in a couple of weeks.
