Maryland suspends Stone for flagrant foul against Wisconsin

Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon has announced that center Diamond Stone will be suspended for one game for a technical foul he received on Saturday. Stone pushed Wisconsin forward Vitto Brown's head into the floor and was only given a technical foul rather than a flagrant-2 foul.

The Big Ten has agreed with the suspension and won't punish Stone further.The incident occurred near the end of the first half of the Maryland-Wisconsin game on Saturday. Stone will not play against Minnesota on Thursday because of the suspension.
