Prior to Saturday's game between Michigan and Michigan State, some supporters of the Wolverines did a number on a statue of Magic Johnson in East Lansing. With that as the backdrop, Johnson had a pointed message for Michigan fans on the heels of what was one of the crazier college football victories in recent memory.
Michigan beat my statue, but they couldn't beat the MSU Football team! Lol #GoGreen #GoWhite

Magic is probably the most famous alum of Michigan State, making this is a fantastic instance of "shots fired" in the direction of the Wolverines. In support of Michigan, the Spartans didn't exactly take this game with skill or domination along the line of scrimmage, but even when victory is figuratively (or literally) handed to your team, the time following a win is the perfect spot for trash talk.
Michigan and Michigan State will continue to battle for years to come with Jim Harbaugh and Mark Dantonio in charge of their respective programs, and if this season's contest is any indication, the trash talk will keep going.
