Something strange is going on in Dallas. According to TMZ, Cowboys wideout Lucky Whitehead was arrested in Virginia back in June for shoplifting under $200 from a convenience store. He failed to appear in court for his hearing on July 6, resulting in an arrest warrant being handed out.

This is where it gets strange:

Spoke with agent Dave Rich, who represents #Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead. He tells me his client was NOT in VA the time of alleged incident

The alleged theft occurred per police on 6/22 at 1:30 am. But #Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead’s only flew to Dulles at 7:20 am 6 hours LATER.

One reason #Cowboys, Whitehead, his agent, no one knew of the arrest — Whitehead claims it wasn’t him. I’ve seen the flight records to show

And.. the #Cowboys informed Lucky Whitehead they cut him. Wow.

This isn't the first time the Cowboys have had some problems with Whitehead. He was left home from a game last season after a since-deleted SnapChat. He also reportedly had his dog stolen and held for a ransom.

Whitehead spent the last two seasons with the Cowboys, returning kickoffs for more than 800 yards and rushing for 189 yards.
