LSU offensive lineman reportedly arrested on domestic abuse charge

LSU offensive tackle Jevonte Domond was arrested Monday, according to The Advocate. He was arrested on, Felony domestic abuse battery with strangulation, according to police booking records, and he has been suspended from the team.

He was arrested on, "Felony domestic abuse battery with strangulation, according to police booking records, and he has been suspended from the team."

"I'm not familiar with the specifics. I knew right away when this incident occurred. I'm trying to get the specifics," Miles said while at the Southeastern Conference spring meetings in Destin, Florida. "He's suspended from the team. It's a crime that we can not condone and behavior that we will not tolerate."

Domond and his fiancee reportedly differ in their stories, according to the report.

Domond allegedly grabbed his fiancée behind the neck, which caused her to nearly lose consciousness, according to the report. He also allegedly bit her hip and slammed her on the couch, reportedly prompting her to spray him with pepper spray.

According to Domond's statement, via the report, he did not strangle or bite the victim, but he claims his fiancee pulled a kitchen knife on him. He claims he picked her up in order to get her to stop spraying him.
