LSU is going gold when it opens SEC play against Mississippi State on Saturday. The Tigers unveiled throwback uniforms they're going to wear during the game, and they look awesome.
The Nike jerseys are solid gold and feature purple numbers and stripes on the shoulder. The helmets also get a retro look with numbers on them (like Alabama still has).

The uniforms are similar to what the Tigers wore in the 1940's and are at the center of LSU's Gold Game festivities. The Tigers (1-1) are hoping to start a tough SEC schedule with a win against the Bulldogs, who almost pulled a come-from-behind upset in last year's matchup.
