The Florida home of legendary Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz was struck by lightning early Sunday morning and, as you can see in the above video, was severely damaged. According to the South Bend Tribune, almost 50 firefighters had to be sent to the two-alarm fire to put it out.
There were no injuries suffered by Holtz or his family, although two firefighters sustained minor injuries that were able to be treated at the scene. We send our best to Holtz, who recently retired from ESPN, and hopefully he and his family will be able to repair the damages quickly.
