Nearly every season, a non-Power 5 program emerges with a real chance to finish the college football campaign with an undefeated record. Group of Five powers like Boise State, South Florida and others have received some attention in the early going, but on Monday, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit put forth a new program with a "legitimate shot to run the table."

In short, this is not a team you would think of when prompted with this question:

Sitting at 3-0 don't be surprised to see @UTSAFTBL have a legitimate shot to run the table!Biggest challenge last game at La Tech Nov 25.

The UTSA Roadrunners already have road wins over Baylor and Texas State this season and, frankly, the most difficult game on the schedule may have been the season opener that was canceled against the Houston Cougars. With that in mind, ESPN's Football Power Index actually makes UTSA a favorite in each of its remaining games, lending some credence to what Herbstreit is saying about coach Frank Wilson's team.

However, that same ESPN metric gives UTSA only a 6.2 percent chance of emerging victorious in each and every game, which takes some of the wind out of Herbstreit's proclamation. It wouldn't be that crazy if this happened, but at the end of the day, the threat of it is almost as interesting as UTSA actually putting together the magical run.
