Former five-star defensive tackle Kenny Bigelow had announced his retirement from college football a few weeks ago, but it appears that he is now going to give it another shot.
That shot won't be with USC, though.
Bigelow announced on Wednesday that he would be transferring from the USC program after being granted a sixth-year of eligibility due to medical hardship

After an amazing and long career at USC I would like to announce that I have been granted my 6th year of eligibility and will pursue my last year of football outside of USC. I have had a wonderful experience and would like to thank my coaches, staff and my teammates for their support and to all the fans for standing by me through the years. I am proud to say I earned a degree from one of the greatest schools in the world and I will forever be a Trojan!

Bigelow, a former five-star prospect, has dealt with injuries throughout his college career. After redshirting in 2013, he suffered torn ligaments in his knee prior to the 2014 season.
Bigelow went through rehabilitation before returning in 2015 and, despite being limited, showed potential before being sidelined due to another knee injury in 2016.
As for where Bigelow could end up... well, it appears one Lane Kiffin has already made that phone call.
