Lindsey Stringer, who served as the forewoman for the jury in the Aaron Hernandez case, spoke exclusively to the Boston Globe for an interview released today. The Globe said she spoke for 75 minutes on a number of subjects, but she made one comment sure to raise eyebrows.
"I want to be very clear that a verdict of 'not guilty' does not mean that we declared Aaron Hernandez innocent," she told the Globe. She also said: "There were basically differences of opinion on the level of potential involvement" Hernandez had in the murders of two men, Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, who were shot in a drive by shooting in Boston in 2012.

She said the jury struggled with the truthfulness of some of the witnesses, and that some of Hernandez's defense didn't sit well with the jury, especially trying to paint the dead men and thugs and drug dealers. She described it as the defense throwing whatever it could against a wall and seeing if it would stick.
Hernandez, still serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd, killed himself last week in his jail cell.
