It appears that former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Jancek is on his way back to the SEC.
According to SEC reporter Jimmy Hyams, Jancek has been hired by Kentucky as a defensive consultant, emphasizing that Jancek will not be an on-the-field coach for the Wildcats.

Jancek and Tennessee agreed to part ways in 2015 after Jancek had been there for three seasons. Tennessee improved from 79th to 16th in scoring defense in Jancek's tenure, but that wasn't enough as Jancek apparently did not do enough to impress head coach Butch Jones and co.
Jancek spent the 2016 season as a safeties coach for South Florida.
