It's one thing to win a basketball game on an incredible buzzer beater, but how about hitting said buzzer beater and getting fouled on it? That's what happened in this Georgia Southern-Appalachian State game when the Mountaineers thought they had a win up three with less than ten seconds left in the game. Not so fast!
The Eagles got the ball back and freshman Tookie Brown got the ball to sophomore teammate Mike Hughes who hit a deep three from the abyss and got hit on the shot. That tied the game and he sealed the deal when he made the free with less than a second left on the clock. App State was unable to inbound the ball and when Georgia Southern touched the ball on its inbounds pass it won the game 101-100.
