Capehart had committed to Virginia Tech back in August, but he had been trending in Maryland's direction as National Signing Day approached.
Capehart — a four-star per Rivals and ESPN — is part of what in an enormous 2017 class for the Terps. Maryland has 29 pledges so far for this recruiting cycle, which is a great showing for D.J. Durkin in his first full year in recruiting.
