
The 2017 recruiting cycle is starting to gain momentum, and another four-star is off the board as defensive end Tyjuan Garbutt (6-foot-4, 222 pounds, Fredericksburg, VA) announced his commitment to Virginia Tech.

This is a good sign for new Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente, as he will be expected to maintain the Virginia Tech program that was left to him by Frank Beamer.
Garbutt becomes the second 2017 commitment for the Hokies. The young defensive end also had offers from North Carolina and Tennessee, among others.
