It looks like Florida is going to have some healthy competition at quarterback this offseason as the Gators have added Purdue graduate transfer Austin Appleby. Since he is a graduate transfer he will have one more year of eligibility and he is supposed to enroll today (Tuesday) in classes.

He will join Alabama and Oregon State transfer Luke Del Rio, as well as freshmen early enrollees Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask, in the battle for Florida's starting quarterback job this offseason. Appleby finished the 2015 season 119-207 (57.5%) passing for 1,260 yards and eight touchdowns, while throwing eight interceptions in five games.
