Five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown (6-foot-4, 317 pounds, Buford, Ga.) is one of the top recruits in the nation, and is listed as the No. 9 overall recruit of the 2016 recruiting class by 247Sports.
On Thursday, it was reported that Brown had narrowed down his recently released Top 5 to just a Top 3. The Top 3 — according to 247Sports — was allegedly Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee, which would have cut Georgia and Mississippi State as potential destinations.
Well, Brown disagreed with the report.
Haha never gave my top schools "that's why it said inside source" lol these fans funny af😂

Brown then retweeted a bunch of things reporting about his Top 3, which is weird. While retweets aren't endorsements on Twitter, it is strange that he didn't avoid the situation altogether after proclaiming that he didn't give his top teams to anyone.
Nevertheless, it looks like all of Brown's original Top 5 is still in the running.
