Defensive tackle Derrick Brown (6-foot-4, 317 pounds, Buford, Ga.) is a monster five-star recruit, rated as the No. 8 overall and No. 1 recruit in the state of Georgia by 247Sports. On Thursday, he confirmed his Top 5 teams, a list that still only includes SEC schools: Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi State

Georgia is listed as 247Sports' heavy favorite for the defensive tackle, garnering a 96-percent prediction by their "Crystal Ball". However, it will be interesting to see how the defensive coordinator shuffle in the SEC will affect his decision, as former Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is now on the Alabama sidelines.
Brown visited Auburn on Friday, and will be taking visits to Georgia and Alabama within the next two weeks. Those visits will ensure that Brown has visited all five of his final schools.
For now, it looks like he will announce his decision on National Signing Day, which is February 3.
