At Alabama, having state-of-the-art facilities is strictly considered the norm. But a massive Sports & Nutrition Facility on campus? Well, that would be a game changer for current and prospective student-athletes. That's exactly what the Crimson Tide are about to open soon in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
A 25,000 square-foot first-class complex is officially on the way, and the football program gave a sneak peak of it earlier this week.

You name it, this new facility next to the football practice fields probably has it. It is well equipped to provide the ultimate dining and nutrition experience.
"We are very excited for the addition of the dining facility, which was designed with our players in mind," Alabama's football head coach Nick Saban said on the project's website. "Nutrition is such an important part of being a college athlete, and the addition to our complex is a great way to invest in their development.
"This cutting-edge facility gives our players an advantage in academic and athletic performance, recovery, health and well-being, while allowing us to execute nutrition science on a plate."
"Having the dining and nutrition center is a tremendous asset to our athletics department and will provide our student-athletes with the best selections of food that meet our nutrition and performance enhancement goals," men's basketball head coach Avery Johnson added. "One of the most important things we stress to our student-athletes is the importance of eating right in order to get the most out of your body. This center will help our athletes learn how to eat healthily and thus bene t them for not only their time at The University of Alabama but also for the rest of their lives."
According to Alabama Athletics, the current estimate for the project is $14 million.
