As one of the top tight ends in the entire 2022 recruiting class, it's understandable that Green received nearly three dozen scholarship offers.

Programs such as Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, North Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, SMU, South Carolina, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC, Virginia Tech, and Washington attempted to land Green.

The tight end still has time to officially sign, but it's clear he wants to join Jimbo Fisher's team.

Texas A&M has a legitimate chance to make a College Football Playoff run in 2021, and the momentum should only grow from there.

TE Donovan Green Highlights

Tight end Donovan Green is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports, and both his stats and highlights prove he's ready for the challenges of Division I college football.

In 2019, Green accumulated 615 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and he followed that up with a four-TD showing in 2020. He was named a MaxPreps All-American after his sophomore campaign with the Dickinson Gators.

It's clear that he has the potential to shine in College Station starting in 2022.

The idea of reaching the NFL is still a far-away aspiration for Donovan Green, but it isn't far-fetched. If he can handle himself in the SEC, he has the route-running and blocking abilities to make an impact at Texas A&M as soon as he reaches the field.
