Diaco had two years left on his contract, per NewsDay. He put together a 2-10 record in Year 1 but bounced back with a 6-7 slate in his sophomore campaign. He finished 3-9 this season before getting the ax.

Diaco previously served as a defensive coordinator with Notre Dame and Cincinnati.
