Former Chicago Bears standout Charles Tillman has reportedly made a dramatic career change. Now retired with football, Tillman is currently with the FBI.
According to ESPN's sources, Tillman joined the FBI's Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia, in order to pursue a full-time career at the agency. Him going through the process isn't new, but the part of the report that states he is now an FBI agent is.
Naturally, this should be turned into a Netflix original series at some point.
Tillman retired from the NFL after signing a one-day contract with the Chicago Bears in July 2016.
He was a former two-time Pro Bowler and Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2013. He joined FOX's kickoff show last year before aiming for the FBI.
According to the report, FBI guidelines require candidates to be over 23 years old and younger than 37. Tillman turned 37 this month.
Tillman earned a degree in criminal justice before he was drafted by the Bears in 2003.
Anyway, this isn't a complete shocker. ESPN reported that Tillman occasionally observed and worked alongside law enforcement officials during offseason months while he was still an active National Football League talent.
