What's the first thing you do when you don't know the answer to a question? You Google it. That seems to have been the strategy for Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables. He wasn't sure how to play against Auburn's Wing-T scheme and so he took the interwebs to find out like you or I might.
"I literally Googled, 'How to stop the wing-T,'" Venables admitted to ESPN after the game.

Venables admitted that he hadn't the slightest clue on how to defend against an offense that primarily stops being used beyond the high school level. So, one day before Saturday's game, Venables cranked up the search engine. It worked well enough as Auburn's 41 rush attempts only yielded 87 yards on the ground and none of Auburn's three quarterbacks threw for a touchdown.

The defense even forced two interceptions, but it was Clemson's offense that almost let it down. It only scored 19 points after many people and analysts expected this team to be lighting up scoreboards all season. But Venables did his job, even if it was with the help of the Google machine.
