Big 12 officials screwed up again by allowing this controversial TD

After a long rain delay for Oklahoma-Ohio State, the game finally got started —- it was supposed to be the primetime 8 p.m. game —- and it has not been without its great (and terrible) plays. After Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield was picked off for a touchdown to make it a 14-0 lead for the Buckeyes, the Sooners responded pretty nicely.

Oklahoma running back and return man Joe Mixon brought the ensuing kickoff to the house 97 yards. But it looks like we have another replay controversy on our hands. Mixon seemed to have dropped the ball at the 1-yard line, but the Buckeyes didn't have the presence of mind to pick up it up and get a touchback.

Here's a closer look in slo-mo and you can definitely tell he dropped the ball:

The play should have gone under automatic review since it was a scoring play, but it never did and the Sooners were given the touchdown despite the fact the ball was clearly dropped before Mixon got into the end zone.

Instead of adding schools, Big 12 should concentrate on adding some competent replay officials instead

Ohio State leads 21-10 in the second quarter.
