The Auburn Tigers are making plans for upgrades to Jordan-Hare Stadium, including adding a new video scoreboard that would be the biggest in all of college football, surpassing the 7,661 square foot video board Texas A&M installed last season.
The video board would be operational by this coming August, according to AL.com, and will be voted on by Auburn's Board of Trustees on Friday. The cost of the new scoreboard would be nearly $14 million.
This is a rendering of what the new proposed scoreboard would look like in place of the current one:

"If what we are intending to do is approved, it'll be the biggest video board in college football," Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs told AL.com. "That's what our fans deserve and what our football team deserves."
The rest of the upgrades being planned for Jordan-Hare, should they be approved, include adding amenities, upgrading the locker rooms, and adding premium seating. Construction on those stadium upgrades could begin as early as December 2015.
