"I committed because it's a great school," Jones told 247Sports. "They have great resources. There is no excuse not to succeed. The education is second to none. The football program is great. Los Angeles is a great city to raise a family after college."
Jones originally committed to Texas Tech last September, but he de-committed shortly thereafter.
He said he will still accept offers, but he is a solid commit to UCLA. He committed to the Bruins over Baylor, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Colorado and others.
Jones is the No. 19 safety and the No. 31 player from the state of Texas according to 247Sports. Jones is the No. 243 overall player in the Class of 2018.
