
Longtime Ohio State assistant coach Bob Tucker passed away at the age of 73 on Monday.

Tucker was the Director of Football Operations at Ohio State under Jim Tressel from 2001-09, and he was more recently the liaison for military visits and recognition for the program.

Tucker was an assistant under former Ohio State coach Earle Bruce from 1979-84. He served as the outside linebackers coach from 1979-81 and the defensive coordinator from 1981-84. Tucker was a part of nine Big Ten championships during his tenure at Ohio State.
Tucker graduated from the College of Wooster in 1965, and he was later the program's head coach from 1985-1997. He was an assistant at Penn State, Wichita State, Iowa State and Youngstown State.
