The NFL's free agency started over a week ago, and former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson still hasn't signed with a team.

The Vikings signed former Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray, signaling the end of Peterson's tenure in Minnesota.
With Latavius Murray signing in Minnesota, Adrian Peterson officially will be moving on from Vikings.

Peterson had interest in joining the Oakland Raiders, but that interest hasn't been reciprocated.
Now, it appears as if the Raiders are interested in bringing in Marshawn Lynch, who retired prior to the 2016 season.

The Seattle Seahawks would have to trade or release Lynch for the Raiders to sign him since they own his rights, but the fact that they are more interested in Lynch than Peterson is surprising.
Peterson is coming off of an injury, and at 31, he is a year older than Lynch. But Lynch hasn't even played in over a year, and it's obvious Peterson has more of a desire to play at this point.
It's possible Peterson might command a higher salary than most free agent running backs, but he even expressed his willingness to take a lower salary to play for a contender. But teams have obviously been hesitant to sign Peterson, and he might be forced to play for less money than he anticipated.
