Allen Iverson was the brash, electric point guard that seemed destined to lead his team to a championship, and the Los Angeles Lakers were unstoppable.
But Iverson did just enough in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals to lead the Philadelphia 76ers over the Lakers behind 48 points, six assists, five steals and five boards for a 107-101 overtime win. In the victory, Iverson gave us an iconic moment when he popped a jumper over Lakers guard Tyronn Lue and proceeded to step over the fallen player.
The magic stopped that night, as the Lakers went on to rattle off four consecutive in the second of the team's three-peat.
