After 4-8 season, Notre Dame suffers yet another big loss with four-star LB's decommit

The losses keep coming for the Fighting Irish. After a 4-8 season this year and multiple rumors that Brian Kelly could be looking for a way out, Notre Dame suffered yet another blow on Tuesday when four-star linebacker Pete Werner (6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Mount Vernon, IN) announced his decommitment from the program.

Notre Dame still has a Top 10 class in the nation, per 247Sports, but losing a four-star is always a big blow. There is also questions if Werner could be the first of multiple departures, as those rumors of Kelly's departures could have an impact if they go on for too long.

According to 247, Ohio State is now the likely favorite to land Werner.
