Four-star quarterback Tyler DeSue officially committed to Maryland on Wednesday, becoming the second 2018 recruit for the Terrapins, per 247sports.

"The reason I picked Maryland is the vibe at the school," DeSue told IMS before his announcement. "Everyone on the team is on the same page with what they want to do with the program. The coaching staff also fits what I do now, mainly the offensive scheme."

The 6'1", 185-pound Virginia native had offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, UCF and N.C. State.

DeSue was apparently at one time silently committed to West Virginia, but after things slowed down on that front, N.C. State and West Virginia received commitments, the prospect opted to go with Maryland.
